7 Branches and 3 Consolidated Subsidiaries Accredited to ISO 14001
We are pleased to inform you that on March 25, 2002, seven branches of Shionogi & Co. Ltd. (Kuise Plant, Settsu Plant, Kanegasaki Plant, Shionogi Research Laboratories, Developmental Research Laboratories, Aburahi Laboratories and Shionogi Biomedical Tokyo Laboratory) and its three consolidated subsidiaries (Shionogi Engineering Service Co., Ltd., Shionogi Medical Service Co., Ltd. and Shionogi Buturyuu Service & Co., Ltd.) obtained ISO 14001 accreditation, the international standards for environmental management system.
In concert with the corporate purpose to
“strive constantly to provide medicine of the best possible kind essential for protection of the health of the people,” Shionogi established its Basic Environmental Policy in 1994 in an endeavor to preserve the environment and ensure the safety of people in every activity the Company conducts and to realize an affluent society.ISO 14001 accreditation was also obtained by Akoh Plant in May 1999, and consolidated subsidiaries, Nichia Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. in November 26, 2001, Shionogi Qualicaps Co., Ltd. and Bushu Pharmaceuticals Ltd. in December 25, 2001.
Overseas companies of the Shionogi Group continue to make efforts to maintain and improve their environmental preservation.
